How long does export take?

Most exports complete in 1–5 minutes depending on area size and format complexity. This is significantly faster than traditional services which take 1–2 hours for similar tasks.

Can I use the service via API?

Yes, the REST API is open during Open Beta. POST /api/render accepts a bounding box and format, GET /api/status/{task_id} tracks progress, GET /api/formats lists available formats. Full documentation at /api/docs.

Where does the map data come from? How current is it?

Data comes from OpenStreetMap — the largest open geodata project with over 10 million contributors. Our planetary database is updated weekly.

License for using exported maps?

OpenStreetMap data is distributed under the ODbL license. You must attribute «© OpenStreetMap contributors» when publishing.

Is there a limit on the export area size?

During Open Beta there are no area limits — export any region for free, including entire countries.
