.jsonAbout TileJSON
Map of Pleașov in TileJSON — an export of real OpenStreetMap data for the selected area.
TileJSON is a compact open JSON specification from Mapbox describing a tileset: where to fetch tiles (a URL template), within what geographic bounds they exist, the minimum and maximum zoom, attribution, and layer descriptions. It is not the tiles themselves but a machine-readable manifest wrapper that MapLibre, Mapbox GL JS and OpenLayers recognize automatically, configuring bounds, zoom and attribution on their own. On osm2cdr.ru the export generates a single 3.0.0 JSON file for the chosen area: bounds come from the bbox, center is computed automatically, and vector_layers lists the layer names. The tile URL template is configurable via a parameter.

How to use TileJSON for Pleașov
- MapLibre GL JS or Mapbox GL JS — add a source with a url field pointing to this JSON; the engine will read the bounds, zooms and attribution itself.
- OpenLayers — the ol/source/TileJSON source takes the file address and configures itself from it with no extra code.
- Storage — put the JSON next to the tiles on S3, R2, GitHub Pages or your own server; it must be served with the application/json type.

FAQ: TileJSON for Pleașov
Does this format contain the tiles themselves?
No. TileJSON is metadata only: a URL template, bounds, a zoom range and layer descriptions. Export the tiles separately (MVT, PMTiles).
Can I set my own tile address?
Yes, the tile URL template is configurable via a parameter; by default an example with the {z}/{x}/{y}.pbf scheme is filled in.
Which engines understand TileJSON?
MapLibre GL JS, Mapbox GL JS and OpenLayers natively; Leaflet via a plugin. Just point the source's url field at the JSON.
What should I put into the tile address before publishing?
The real path to your storage. The export puts an example there with the {z}/{x}/{y} scheme, and until you replace it the client will be requesting a non-existent address.
Is CORS required?
Yes, if the map and the tiles live on different domains: the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header is needed both on the JSON itself and on the tiles — otherwise the browser will not load them.
