How to use 3D Tiles for Pasig
- Unpack the archive — the structure matters: tileset.json must stay at the root, with the tiles folder next to it.
- CesiumJS — put the folder on any web server and connect the tileset by the tileset.json address as a Cesium3DTileset; the camera flies to the scene with a single command.
- Local check — start a simple server in the tileset folder (python -m http.server, for example) and open the page through http://localhost rather than as a file.

FAQ: 3D Tiles for Pasig
How to view 3D Tiles?
Via CesiumJS (web), Google Earth, ArcGIS Online, or any viewer supporting 3D Tiles.
Does it support large areas?
Yes, 3D Tiles partitions the area into tiles for progressive loading. Up to 50 km2.
What is inside the archive?
The tileset.json file at the root and a tiles folder with .glb models — one file per grid cell. The tileset refers to them by relative paths, so the folder structure must not be changed.
Why are the tiles in GLB and not in B3DM?
The 3D Tiles 1.1 specification allows GLB as tile content directly, without the B3DM wrapper. Modern clients (CesiumJS, deck.gl, Cesium ion) read such a tileset with no extra steps.
Can I open the tileset straight from disk?
As a rule, no: the browser blocks loading tiles by relative paths from file://. Serve the folder over HTTP — from a local server or from ordinary hosting.
