What are the _layer, lat and lon columns?
_layer is the name of the source map layer, it lets the combined table be split back into roads, buildings and the rest. lat and lon are the coordinates of a representative point of the object: for a line and a polygon that is a point on the object itself, handy for quickly marking it on a map.
What coordinate system do the coordinates come in?
In WGS84 (EPSG:4326) — ordinary latitude and longitude, rounded to seven decimal places. That is roughly centimeter precision, excessive for most tasks and sufficient for any.
