Cesium Quantized Mesh (.terrain)
Open BetaQuantized Mesh is Cesium's binary terrain format for streaming 3D relief to the browser: a TIN with 16-bit quantized vertices and edge indices for seamless tile stitching. On osm2cdr the export works honestly like this: we emit one well-formed tile on a regular 65x65 grid (4225 vertices, 8192 triangles). Grid heights are read from the global Copernicus DEM GLO-30 (~30 m, falling back to GLO-90 ~90 m) via DEMLoader; where there is no coverage (ocean, excluded tiles) the tile honestly becomes flat at sea level. This is a basic rapid-prototyping starter, not a multi-LoD tile pyramid. Opens in CesiumJS, Cesium for Unreal/Unity.
