This page lists where the service takes its data from, what exactly reaches your download, and what never does.
OpenStreetMap
Every map is based on OpenStreetMap data published under the ODbL 1.0 licence. The «© OpenStreetMap contributors» credit is written into every exported file and must not be removed.
Russian cadastre: the NSPD public map
A parcel outline is requested from the NSPD public cadastral map at the moment you search for it.
What we take: the geometry of the parcel — its outline and the coordinates of its turning points — plus the public facts about the object itself (area, address, land category, permitted use).
What we never take: right holders, encumbrances and cadastral value. They are absent from the page, from the downloaded file and from the API response by design.
Freshness. The date the data was fetched is shown next to the result and printed inside the downloaded file. The source answer is cached for up to one day, so the date may not be the current minute. When the timestamp is missing we say so instead of substituting the current time.
Legal frame. Article 12 of Federal Law 218-FZ makes public cadastral map data openly available, and part 27 of article 62 allows its use as long as the output neither matches the approved form of an EGRN extract nor carries the signatures of the registration authority. Our output is a drafting underlay — an outline in a CAD/GIS format — not an EGRN extract, not a Rosreestr document, and it has no legal force.
Switch-off on request. On a request from Rosreestr or PPK Roskadastr the cadastral-number lookup is switched off — write to support@osm2cdr.ru.
Cadastres of other countries
For a number of countries a cadastral layer is available on top of the map. It comes straight from the national geoportals over WMS/WFS on the terms set by their owners; the source name and licence are shown in the layer list. The service adds nothing to that data and does not store it.
Elevation
Contours, hillshade and colour relief are derived from open elevation models; the mandatory elevation credit is printed in the file together with the rest of the attribution.
