.obfAbout OsmAnd OBF
Map of Amia in OsmAnd OBF — an export of real OpenStreetMap data for the selected area.
OsmAnd OBF is the offline map format for the OsmAnd mobile app (Android/iOS). The .obf is built with the OsmAndMapCreator toolchain bundled in the worker image. The resulting .obf is copied to the OsmAnd folder on the phone and works fully offline, with routing and address search.

How to use OsmAnd OBF for Amia
- OsmAnd on Android — copy the .obf into the app's maps folder (OsmAnd/files) with a file manager or a cable and restart the program: the map appears in the list.
- OsmAnd on any platform — a second route with no folder fiddling: open the file through "Share" or the built-in import under "My Places" and confirm installing the map.
- OsmAnd on iOS — hand the file to the app through "Files" or "Open in...": the iOS version imports .obf the same way.

FAQ: OsmAnd OBF for Amia
How do I add the .obf to OsmAnd?
Copy the file to the OsmAnd/files folder on the device, or import it via the app's 'My Places' menu.
Do routing and address search work?
Yes, map, routing, address and points-of-interest indexes are built during assembly. How well a route is laid out depends on how complete the OSM road data is in the selected area and on whether the whole network you need fell inside the export bounds.
How is this map different from OsmAnd's built-in maps?
The official maps cover a whole country or a large region and are updated by the OsmAnd team. Ours is exactly the area you selected with your set of layers. In the app they sit side by side in one list; at the export boundary the map simply ends.
Do I have to delete the map before updating it?
It is enough to put the new file in place of the old one under the same name and restart the app. If there are several maps with overlapping areas, OsmAnd may show them on top of each other — the extra ones are better switched off in the map settings.
