3D print a city: STL with buildings and a base plate
Choose any area and download a single printable STL: building footprints from OpenStreetMap are extruded to their height (from the height or level tags, with a sensible default where the tag is missing) and combined into one STL file.
The model comes with an at least 2 mm base plate under the whole area (thicker on small areas), so the buildings stand on a common base and do not fall apart on the bed. STL has no units, and slicers read the numbers as millimetres: the file is scaled to fit a 200 mm print bed, and you can scale it further in the slicer.
Open the file in Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Simplify3D. For a small city block print at 0.12-0.16 mm layer height to keep the facades crisp; for a whole district 0.2 mm is fine. The detailed fill keeps small buildings that a coarser preset would merge.
Map data comes from OpenStreetMap and is licensed under the ODbL: you may use the file in commercial products as long as you credit "(c) OpenStreetMap contributors". The preview demo is free; the full file is paid, and the price is shown before checkout. Any place on Earth works, from a single block to a whole city.

Frequently asked questions
Does the STL include a base?
Yes, the model comes with an at least 2 mm base plate under the whole area, so the buildings stand on a common base.
Which slicers open the file?
Any slicer that reads STL: Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Simplify3D and others.
How big will the print be?
The model is scaled to fit a 200 mm print bed. Scale it up or down in the slicer; the base plate scales with it.
Where do the building heights come from?
From OpenStreetMap height and building:levels tags. Where a building has no tag, a default height is used.
