Vipengele Muhimu
Kuhusu Muundo wa 3D Tiles
3D Tiles is an OGC standard for streaming large 3D scenes into a browser. The model is cut in advance into spatial tiles and levels of detail, and the client loads only what falls into the frame. That is exactly how whole cities are shown on the web without making the user wait for the entire scene to load.
You need this export when a 3D city has to live on a web page: a geoportal, a digital twin showcase, a display of the built environment in CesiumJS or deck.gl. A plain OBJ or glTF runs into browser memory on a scene like that, while a tileset is designed precisely for gradual loading.
The output is a ZIP archive with a ready tileset: tileset.json at the root and a tiles folder with .glb files next to it. The area is cut by a grid of roughly 500 meters, and each tile holds the buildings of its cell, extruded from OSM outlines. tileset.json records the geographic bounds of every tile and the detail parameters, so the scene lands in its place on the globe right away.
The archive has to be unpacked and served over HTTP: tiles are loaded by relative paths, so opening tileset.json from a local disk in a browser usually does not work.
Programu Gani Hufungua Faili za 3D Tiles
Programu na programu-tumizi zifuatazo zinaweza kufungua, kuhariri, na kufanya kazi na faili za 3D Tiles (Cesium) (.3dtiles.zip) zilizosafirishwa kutoka OSM2CDR:
Format specifications
- Open standard
- 3D coordinates supported
- Lossless (no quality loss)
- Stores feature attributes
- Output: 32 files in archive
- Cesium 3D Tiles 1.1 (OGC). Streamable 3D tileset (tileset.json + .glb tiles in ZIP). For Cesium, NASA WorldWind, Unreal.
Nani Hutumia Ramani za 3D Tiles
Jinsi ya Kusafirisha 3D Tiles
Jinsi ya Kufungua Baada ya Kuhamisha
- Unpack the archive — the structure matters: tileset.json must stay at the root, with the tiles folder next to it.
- CesiumJS — put the folder on any web server and connect the tileset by the tileset.json address as a Cesium3DTileset; the camera flies to the scene with a single command.
- Local check — start a simple server in the tileset folder (python -m http.server, for example) and open the page through http://localhost rather than as a file.
- deck.gl and ArcGIS Online — accept the tileset as an ordinary 3D Tiles layer by URL; in Cesium ion the archive can be uploaded as a ready asset.
- Content check — any .glb from the tiles folder opens in an online glTF viewer or in Blender, if you want to be sure of the geometry before publishing.
