OSM2CDR and MyGeodata Cloud: a comparison by the numbers
MyGeodata Cloud converts uploaded geodata between formats; OSM2CDR builds a map file from OpenStreetMap data for the chosen area. Below are the figures from both sides, their plans and our own gaps. The MyGeodata Cloud data was taken from its pages on 2026-10-14.

| Criterion | OSM2CDR | MyGeodata Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| What the service does | builds a map file from OpenStreetMap data for the chosen area; separately, it converts uploaded OSM, PBF, GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML/KMZ and GPX files | converts uploaded geodata between formats and coordinate systems; it does not supply map data itself |
| Where the data comes from | from our copy of OpenStreetMap: nothing to download beforehand | from your file: the service converts uploaded data between formats and coordinate systems; an .osm file is accepted (the OSM to DXF page) |
| Export formats | 140 in the catalogue, 136 served now | dozens of vector and raster input formats, DWG, DXF and DGN among them; vector outputs — SHP, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, GML, GPX, DXF, GPKG, MapInfo, SQLite, XLSX, CSV, ODS, DGN, TopoJSON, FileGDB, FlatGeobuf, GeoPDF, GMT; DWG is not in the output list |
| Area ceiling per order | 5 km2 at maximum detail, 5000 km2 at city level, the whole planet at overview level | the count is by data volume and conversions per month, not by area (the plan table below) |
| CorelDRAW (CDR) | yes: CDR for CorelDRAW is one of the catalogue formats | not in the format list |
What we do not have
- We do not accept your own DWG, DXF, DGN, MapInfo, FileGDB or raster file as input: our converter takes OSM, PBF, GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML/KMZ and GPX.
- We have no toolset for processing uploaded geodata like their Geoprocessing Online.
What their site shows
- The service belongs to GeoCzech, Inc. (the Terms of Service); the contact page gives an address in Claymont, Delaware, USA.
- Besides the converter there is Geoprocessing Online — a set of geodata processing tools.
- The API is available on the Standard and Premium plans.
- Conversion history is kept for 2 days on Basic, 7 days on Standard and 30 days on Premium.
- The FAQ on the pricing page says the subscription can be cancelled at any time and a refund is given if the result did not meet expectations.

Data licence: ODbL
Our files are built from OpenStreetMap data. The OpenStreetMap database is released under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, and its cartography under CC BY-SA 2.0.
ODbL permits commercial use: the file may go into a project, into print and into sale. Two conditions apply. First, credit the source: «© OpenStreetMap contributors». Second, if you publish a modified or extended DATABASE, it must be released under the same terms; this does not extend to a drawing in which the map became a background.
We hand the attribution over with the file: the line «© OpenStreetMap contributors» goes into the sheet caption and into the export metadata, and for terrain the elevation source is printed next to it. Nothing has to be added by hand — it is enough to keep that line visible.
